Medicare’s Annual Election Period is right around the corner! Every year between October 15th and December 7th, beneficiaries are given the opportunity to review, switch, and/or make changes to their current Medicare plan.
This month (September), you should receive an ANOC (Annual Notice of Change) letter from your insurance carrier that informs you of any upcoming changes being made to your benefits, network plans, and new rate and cost sharing information for 2022. Your agent can sit down with you and answer any questions you have about your current plan and decide what the right step forward is for you!
Between October 15 and December 7, you can do the following things to help improve your Medicare Plan:
- Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan
- Medicare Advantage Plan back to Original Medicare
- One Medicare Advantage Plan to a different Medicare Advantage Plan
- Prescription Drug Changes (Part D)
The only thing you won’t be able to do during the Medicare Annual Election Period is drop or make any changes to your Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap).
For more information on Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, reach out to your agent or give us a call at 1-(800)-627-2768. We look forward to hearing from you!
