Medicare

If you enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan during Medicare Open Enrollment, October 15- December 7, you may have a few questions. Here are some of the most common questions we have received from our clients over the past few weeks. If you have further questions, or want us to look at your situation specifically, please feel free to give our office a call, 800-627-2768. We are here to help you!

When will I receive my Insurance ID cards?

Most of our clients that opted to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan started receiving coverage on January 1, 2018 and still haven’t received an ID card. Unfortunately, the companies that offer Medicare Advantage Plans are a little behind on mailing out ID Cards due to the large influx of business with Medicare Open Enrollment. You should receive your Insurance ID cards within the next couple of weeks.

Will my doctor see me if I don’t have Insurance ID cards?

Yes, if you need to see your doctor or if you need to go to the hospital they will assist you. Before you go to the doctor please call our office to obtain your Member ID Number. When you go to the doctor or hospital you need to give them your Member ID Number for billing purposes.

How can I ensure I have coverage?

If you enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan through Senior Benefit Services and are unsure if your coverage has taken effect, call our office and we can check.

Can I see my doctor under my new Medicare Advantage Plan?

Medicare Advantage Plans have networks that can change yearly. If you are unsure if your doctor falls under your network please call your agent or our office before seeing your doctor.

What benefits do I have with my Medicare Advantage Plan?

If you aren’t sure what benefits are included in your Medicare Advantage Plan, reach out to your agent for an overview of your coverage.
